Yay some more art! I've been wanting to do the 2012 Caucasus Endurance race for a while (since it was announced) but never found some good inspiration to do it. Until, Skyrim. I don't think I'll be able to do extra pictures for this race, but it would be nice to. Originally, I had Candy holding a camera, but thought it would look to touristy, so she's just wishing her camera hadn't run out of batteris And Ilari's tack is a mixture of traditional tack and modern. The saddle itself is a more modern endurance saddle, but his bridle and saddle pad are traditional. And I love his Alaja, even though it's hard to see.

So, if you got a teke, and it can go the distance, do IT!

Candy yawned and stretched. Her back muscles ached from sleeping on the hard ground the past couple of nights. She had trained for riding all day in the saddle, just not for sleeping all night on the ground. Groaning, she slipped out of her sleeping bag, and went to check on Ilari. He was munching on some grass, staying within sight of Candy, even though he couldn't wander off, since he was tethered. His tack laid by Candy's sleeping area, with Ilari just a couple feet away. Nickering at her, he went back to munching. Patting his shoulder, she smiled, *We've got a long way to go yet* she thought to herself.

After brushing Ilari up and tacking him up, as well as getting herself read, Candy mounted up. The sun was just starting to come up. Clucking him into an easy trot, they moved off.
She checked her map often, just so they wouldn't get lost. She had their trail marked out, watching for landmarks she had marked off. Right now they were in Georgia, in the mountains. She had stocked up on supplies in the last town, knowing it would be at least a couple days before getting into a town again.

Candy was now walking beside Ilari. It was about an hour to sunset, and he deserved some rest from the non stop travel. His coat still shown in the lowering sun, the sweat from the days travel enhancing it's glow. Looking around, Candy gasped. The mountains were lit up by the sun, the scene breathtaking. She thought to herself *too bad my camera ran out of batteries yesterday, this would be such a nice spot for pictures!* Pausing from the trek, she just stood and gazed at the mountain range. Purple flowers surrounding their feet fluttered gently in the breeze. Turning back, she looked for a sheltered area, some tree's would do. There were a couple bushes 50 feet back. *That'll do* Candy thought, as she turned back to watch the sun get lower behind the mountains, the sky awashed in color.
